The Jeremie Street Plaza in Castries officially reopened Friday, showcasing what the Saint Lucia Labour Party (SLP) administration says is its developmental progress in the city. The project, a collaboration with the ministry of local government and the Castries constituency council, was made possible with the support of global ports holding. The company is revamping port Castries and the Soufriere waterfront as part of its cruise tourism development plans. At the grand afternoon ceremony, Prime Minister Philip j. Pierre addressed naysayers, pointing to various projects and policies he says have uplifted the people and the island.
