PM Holds Talks With ExxonMobil On Energy Sector Opportunities

Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar SC has welcomed ExxonMobil’s vote of confidence in Trinidad and Tobago as the Government pushes ahead with efforts to attract new investment and boost the economy.

It follows a meeting on Thursday with the company’s Trinidad and Tobago Operation’s Manager, Dr Bram Willemsen.

Joining them were Minister of Energy and Energy Industries Dr Roodal Moonilal; Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs Sean Sobers; and Minister in the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries Ernesto Kesar.

Discussions surrounded current and future opportunities in this country’s energy sector.

Dr Williamsen noted that when conducting business with Trinidad and Tobago, ExxonMobil was able to secure approvals and administrative procedures in a timely manner to begin seismic activities.
