WHO’S TO BLAME ? [20TH AUGUST 2026] – The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force is rejecting suggestions that institutional failures or delayed police action contributed to the death of 24-year-old Joy St. Omer. As public concern continues over the circumstances surrounding her killing, the police hierarchy maintains that officers acted within their duties to protect life, pursue those responsible and seek justice for St. Omer and her family. The Force has also expressed support for the family’s call for a Commission of Inquiry. Kishana Smith has the details.
