Samiya Karim Ends Losing Run With Victory Over Senegal
Trinidad and Tobago national badminton player Samiya Karim bounced back on Day 3 of the Youth Olympic Games in Dakar, recording a 2-0 victory over Senegal’s Maryame Cisse on Tuesday.
In her Group D singles second-round match, Karim registered straight-set wins of 21-14 and 21-10.
The result comes after the 16-year-old, who sits third in her group, lost her opening two group matches, both by 2-0 score lines.
