Sports Minister: “The Authority Will Oversee and Organize”
At the public consultation for the proposed bill, Youth, Sports and Culture Minister Mario Bowleg clarified the role the National Junkanoo Authority would play versus the Junkanoo Corporations of The Bahamas.
The authority would be responsible for overseeing and organizing parades whereas the corporations would decide the rules and regulations of the parades as well as the execution of the same.
