$4.3 million upgrade for fisherfolk coming soon

Fisherfolk based at Consett Bay, St John, will soon see the promised 4.3 million dollar facility and other upgrades materialise. Blue Economy Minister Adrian Forde gave the assurance, noting the money has been allocated in this year's Budget. Minister Ford's comments came at the media launch for the Barbados Fisherfolk Festival, which is slated to come off next month.  And Chief Fisheries Officer, Dr. Shelly-Ann Cox, has been providing details for the new event, which will celebrate several aspects of the fishing industry.
