BREAKING: Brussels shuts down conservatism conference

A conservatism conference featuring Nigel Farage and former home secretary Suella Braverman has been shut down by the mayor of Brussels. Sky News political correspondent Darren McCaffrey said police had received "an order from the mayor of Brussels who has effectively said that the extreme right is not welcome in this city and trying to shut the venue down". As well as Mr Farage and Ms Braverman, the National Conservatism Conference was to play host to Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban and a former German spy chief who recently revealed he had been placed under observation for suspected hard-right links.
