Dancers set Guinness World Record for dancing on pointe

Hundreds of young dancers gathered at New York's Plaza Hotel to break the world record for dancing on pointe in one place, organized by Youth America Grand Prix. The event featured students aged 9 to 19 competing for scholarships alongside professional dancers. To Tchaikovsky's music, they performed bourrée steps on tiptoe for a minute. Adjudicator Tina Shi confirmed the new Guinness world record of 353 dancers, surpassing the previous 306. This marks a milestone for the 25-year-old Youth America Grand Prix.
