More than 40 people have been killed and more than 100 wounded in a mass shooting at a concert hall in Moscow after several gunmen stormed the building. There were no immediate claims of responsibility for the raid, which has been described as the worst terror attack in Russia in two decades, but the US warned Russia “several weeks ago” of intelligence which indicated that ISIS-K was planning to carry out attacks in Russia, officials have told ITV News. UK and US residents were told not to travel to Russia two weeks ago, following a warning that “extremists” were planning a terror attack against Moscow. Some Western intelligence agencies have expressed concern about how ISIS-K has sought to exploit Russia’s war in Ukraine to recruit new members and raise money.
