39 teams have been entered for the Barbados Invitational Masters Football Classic, which kicks off tomorrow at grounds across the south of the island and runs until Whit Monday. The competition continues to attract players from the region, North America and the UK. One of the organisers, Trevor Thorne, says they have increased the age categories from three to four. Jacqueline Gill of the Tourism Development Corporation, says there are tremendous benefits for Barbados as a host of such an event, including the spend by touring teams. Meanwhile, Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc's Manager of Sport, Kamal Springer, says the organisers of BIMFC have continued to promote the tournament with measured success.
