Mitigating disasters and climate change - “Special budget for disaster needed”–Minister Onek

Minister for Relief, Disaster Preparedness and Refugees Hilary Onek has revealed that Uganda lost 1.4billion shillings in trying to mitigate disasters over the last three years. Onek made the remarks during the closing of Uganda 2nd National Dialogue on Anticipatory Action under the theme Navigating Uncertainty Disaster and Climate Risk Financing in Munyonyo.
