Nation Entertainment: Rise 2024

Grace Latoya Hamilton lived up to her name Saturday night. The popular Jamaican, stage name Spice, certainly spiced up proceedings at the Rise show held at the National Botanical Gardens. The event is usually held at Kensington Oval, but moved to the Waterford, St Michael venue for the first time, where a large crowd gathered to soak in the most popular tunes of the dancehall artiste. Spice, known in her homeland as the ‘Queen of Dancehall’, did not disappoint, getting up close and personal with her fans while on stage. There were also performances by another Jamaican, Dexter Daps, who closed the show, along with Rajah Wild and LRG. (Video by Reco Moore)
