It is the largest and most structurally complex tomb from the ancient Chu State, dating back over 2,200 years. Lacquered woodware featuring black and red paint comprises a significant portion of the unearthed relics so far. The tomb has a water-filled interior, buried deep and sealed with green paste mud, which created a low-oxygen environment that preserved the lacquerware well.
