President Tharman accepts PM Lee's resignation, endorses DPM Wong as new PM

Singapore President Tharman Shanmugaratnam on May 13 accepted the resignation of outgoing Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and endorsed the appointment of Lawrence Wong as the successor. President Tharman met Mr Lee and Mr Wong separately at the Istana and exchanged a series of letters to formalise the leadership handover. Sabrina Ng reports.
