A woman and her mother-in-law in West Bengal's Sandeshkhali withdrew their rape complaint against Trinamool Congress leaders, alleging that they were made to sign "white paper" at the behest of the National Commission for Women. The development comes days after a purported video emerged on social media showing a BJP worker claiming the party's role in the Sandeshkhali incident. Addressing the media, the woman narrated how she and her mother-in-law were forced to file fake rape complaints without even knowing the contents of the complaint at the behest of "Delhi's Mahila Commission". The women lodged a fresh complaint with the police, citing threats and ostracism because of her decision to withdraw the complaint against the TMC leaders. #sandeshkhali #westbengal #westbengalnews #mamatabanerjee #indiatoday to India Today for NEW VIDEOS EVERY DAY and make sure to enable Push Notifications so you'll never miss a new video.
