Denoon Rallies Supporters “Take No Chances With Your Future” as Election Countdown Begins
In a spirited address to supporters of the Tobago People’s Party (TPP), Keigon Denoon issued a strong call to action, urging Tobagonians to secure their future by voting for experience and inclusive governance in the upcoming election.
Speaking ahead of the polls, which are approximately one month away, Denoon emphasized that the power to determine the island’s trajectory for the next four years rests firmly in the hands of the electorate. He cautioned the crowd against gambling with their leadership, stating, « We are here to ensure that you take no chances with your future. »
During his speech, Denoon shared a poignant encounter from his walk through the electoral district. He recounted meeting a URP worker who had been in the system since 2003, noting that it was only under the current TPP administration that she received a salary increase—a move he cited as evidence of the party’s commitment to the « small man. »
« Vote for an administration that you know would not only see about those on the mountain but also see about those in the valley, » Denoon declared, reinforcing the party’s focus on equity and representation for the underrepresented majority.
Contrasting the current slate with the team elected four years ago, Denoon acknowledged that while they entered office as « newbies, » they are returning to the polls as a seasoned administration. « Four years later, you are going to elect a team that is more experienced and more ready to deliver to you, the people of Tobago, » he affirmed.
