As the 2025/2026 festive season approaches, health officials are sounding the alarm and urging the public to take food safety seriously. The Environmental Health Division, under the Ministry of Health, Wellness and Elderly Affairs, is warning that poor food-handling practices during the holidays could lead to a dangerous rise in foodborne illnesses—and in severe cases, death.
