Saint Lucia’s new parliamentary session officially kicked off Tuesday as Members of the Upper and Lower Houses took their oaths and were sworn in, setting the stage for a busy legislative period. In a joint session, Governor General Sir Cyril Errol Charles delivered a special message outlining key priorities, while Parliament immediately moved forward with significant decisions, including amendments to the VAT Act and the introduction of the Land and House Tax (Amendment) Bill.
