Band Captain And Cultural Icon George Caesar Has Died
Band Captain, Conductor and Drill Master of Siparia Deltones, George Caesar, has died.
The band confirmed Mr. Caesar’s passing on Friday via its social media pages.
He was also the man who brought the We Help Youth Farm (WHYFARM) fictional character « Agriman » to life.
The band’s management said the passing of Band Captain, Conductor and Drill Master George Caesar is a tremendous loss to the Siparia Deltones and the wider community. It added that his memory and leadership have left a lasting impact.
The We Help Youth Farm (WHYFARM) NGO is also mourning the loss of George Caesar, as he was the man who proudly brought Agriman, the world’s first and only food security superhero, to life.
In a post on their social media pages, the NGO said through Mr. Caesar’s passion, dedication and magnetic presence, he inspired children, youth and communities worldwide to believe in agriculture, food security and self-reliance.
It went on to say that his impact on the WHYFARM movement and national culture will not be forgotten.
Soca artiste Machel Montano also took to social media to offer condolences. Mr. Montano shared that Mr. Caesar’s unique energy could never be replaced. He said he always brought their energy up and their laughter out, as well as enhanced every life that encountered his presence.
