AGE APPROPRIATE [27TH JANUARY 2026] – Amid mounting concern over road collisions and traffic fatalities, Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre has rejected calls to impose age-based driving restrictions, arguing that responsibility on the nation’s roads is a matter of personal behaviour rather than age. While ruling out limits on young or first-time drivers, the Prime Minister signalled that tougher penalties, higher insurance costs, and the possible introduction of a demerit points system are being considered to curb reckless driving.
