Government to Explore New Funding Sources For Medical Scholarships(FEBRUARY 3RD, 2026)
Prime Minister Hon. Philip J. Pierre assured that, despite the U.S. decision impacting medical training in Cuba, Saint Lucia remains committed to supporting aspiring medical professionals through alternative opportunities. He emphasized that the government will explore other avenues to ensure the country’s healthcare needs are met and to support Cuban medical professionals currently serving on the island.
