BUILD-A-BOAT [5TH FEBRUARY 2026] – Fishing vessels remain the backbone of Saint Lucia’s fisheries industry, but growing climate risks and rougher seas are prompting a push for change. In response, the Department of Fisheries is exploring a long-overdue redesign of local boats to improve safety, efficiency, and resilience.
