When plans for a hotel development at Reduit Beach first surfaced, they sparked petitions, public meetings, and strong push back from concerned residents and vendors fearful of losing their livelihoods. Among the most vocal was long time beach vendor Marie Farrel, who worried her small business would not survive the changes. Now, with the newly constructed beach facility nearing completion, MBC caught up with her to hear how she feels about the promise of operating from a new, modern space after months of uncertainty and public debate.
