OFF SHORE [27TH FEBRUARY 2026] – The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force is set to significantly strengthen its Marine Unit through specialized international training and plans for a new southern substation, as part of a broader push to enhance maritime security and border protection. Police Commissioner Verne Garde has announced that ten officers will undergo advanced training beginning March 9, 2026, with support from French partners, underscoring the island’s commitment to intercepting criminal activity both at sea and along its shores.
