Migrant Registration Exercise Underway In Tobago

The Migrant Registration Framework exercise is now underway in Tobago.
On Tuesday, migrants residing on the island assembled outside the Dwight Yorke Stadium, documents in hand, prepared to complete the registration process.
According to immigration officials, approximately 200 migrants were scheduled to be interviewed on the first day of the Migrant Registration Framework exercise in Tobago.
TTT News spoke with several applicants who completed the registration process and were awaiting their interviews.
For many, the registration process is viewed as essential. Others described the process as a pathway to stability and inclusion.
As part of the exercise, applicants underwent health screenings, fingerprinting, background checks, and a brief interview.
Immigration officials indicated that the registration process will continue for three days this week and a further three days next week in Tobago.
