The Trinidad and Tobago Women’s Football Team battled to a draw against Honduras in the CONCACAF Women’s Qualifiers for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The hosts opened the scoring in the 9th minute through Allyson Reed. Reed scored again in the 21st minute when she converted a cross from Evelin Ordoñez at the far post.
Trinidad and Tobago reduced the deficit in the 41st minute when Kédie Johnson converted a penalty kick following a Honduras handball in the box.
Down 2–1 at the break, T&T upped the pressure in the second half and found the equaliser in the 87th minute courtesy of a Nikita Gosine penalty kick.
The two nations will complete their participation in the World Cup Qualifiers in April, with Trinidad and Tobago scheduled to face El Salvador in a winner-take-all match to determine who qualifies.
