Doctors Say NHI Payment Delays Are Hurting Patient Care

Dr. Cyprian Strachan, a doctor in the National Health Insurance Authority program say payment delays of up to two months are putting pressure on clinics that still must pay staff and cover operating costs.
Physicians warn the delays could affect how quickly NHI patients are seen. They also raised concerns about proposed contract changes, including possible membership fees and increased oversight of doctors.
