Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar SC has assured that Trinidad and Tobago’s cybersecurity infrastructure is robust enough to protect sensitive passenger data ahead of the full rollout of the digital Arrival and Departure Card platform on March 17th.
« I’ll say yes, but also this is a very important initiative. It should have been rolled out years, years, a decade ago, so I’m very happy my government, through the Minister of Homeland Security, is now rolling out this package. The answer to your question, sir, is yes. »
The country’s new Online Arrival/Departure Card (ADC) platform was officially launched on Wednesday.
The platform will be fully implemented on March 17th but will be available to the public on March 14th to allow travellers to familiarise themselves ahead of full implementation.
