Khadijah Ameen Highlights Citizen-Focused Governance
St. Augustine Member of Parliament and Minister of Rural Development and Local Government, Khadijah Ameen, says her government is committed to being intentional in its representation.
She made the remarks on Talk City: Women’s Perspective with Cherrylene Lewis on Sunday.
Minister Ameen noted that her Muslim upbringing, along with the leadership example of her party, has instilled in her the discipline required to serve effectively.
She added that it is her duty to provide citizens with the best possible representation.
Miss Ameen acknowledged that, at times, balancing the demands of government responsibilities with community engagement can be challenging. However, she emphasised that one of the most important priorities of the current administration is to remain connected to the people.
