ADAM & EVE [24TH MARCH 2026] – The recent increase in fer de lance sightings near rural communities has prompted an investigation by the Forestry Department into the factors driving the shift. Officials say changes in land use, including the reversion of former banana plantations to forest, may be altering natural boundaries between wildlife and human settlements. The Ministry is now planning further studies to better understand the snake’s habitat and enhance public safety. Shyne Savory tells us more.
