Multiple Anti-Crime Operations Result In Arrests For Ammunition Offences In South Western Division

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service continues its intensified anti-crime operations under the ongoing State of Emergency, with coordinated exercises carried out across the South Western Division between April 5th and 6th.
Around 1:00 a.m. on April 6th, officers conducted an operation in the Oropouche district, where a search of a residence in Rousillac led to the discovery of seven 12-gauge cartridges concealed in a bedroom.
A 52-year-old male labourer and a 29-year-old female were arrested.
In a separate intelligence-led exercise in La Brea at approximately 4:50 a.m. on April 5th, officers searched a premises in Sobo Village and found five rounds of .45 ammunition.
Four men, aged between 21 and 23, were arrested.
Additional operations in Oropouche, Fyzabad, Penal and Siparia included multiple home searches, road traffic exercises, and stop-and-search activities.
