ST. LUCIA 2026 EDUCATION BUDGET: STATE TO EXPAND PERIOD POVERTY SUPPORT
The government will absorb the august payroll for all janitorial, daycare, and kitchen staff starting this summer, a move that centralizes labor costs across the education sector.
This comes amid a major expansion of the national campaign against period poverty, which will now provide free menstrual supplies to Grade 6 pupils and students at the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College.
