LAMAT Surgical/ Medical Mission Begins Delivering Vital Healthcare Services to Saint Lucians
The surgical and medical mission led by the Lesser Antilles Medical Assistance Team LAMAT of the United States Air Forces Southern Medical Mission officially commenced on April 27th and will run until May 8th offering the delivery of healthcare services in the areas of dental, cardiology, pulmonary and vascular to name a few.
The mission comprises of 47 health professionals from LAMAT and 4 additional specialists from the Republic of China (Taiwan). Over the course of the mission, the team will be undertaking surgical procedures at the Owen King EU Hospital and the St. Jude Hospital. In addition, community dental clinics will be held at the La Clery Wellness Centre and the Anse La Raye Wellness Centre.
