TTPS TO INCREASE VISIBILITY TO COMBAT CRIME

Sergeant Joseph Jordan of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, speaking exclusively to Tobago Updates, provided a comprehensive report on crime statistics for the Tobago Division. He noted the TTPS’s continuous efforts to combat crime and highlighted a reduction in serious crimes when comparing data from 2024 to 2025. According to Sgt. Jordan, the Tobago Division, recorded 481 serious crimes for the period. He further explained that this positive trend is a result of the collaboration between the police and the public. He said that the TTPS remains committed to its mission of creating a safer community.

He identified breaking and entering as a crime that has been a persistent challenge for the Tobago division.
Sergeant Jordan urged citizens to anonymously provide information to the police, highlighting this as an important method for identifying and capturing elusive criminals while protecting the public’s identity.
