Cooper: “We’re Hoping For The Best”
Acting Prime Minister and Exumas and Ragged Island MP Chester Cooper expressed hope for a positive outcome as search efforts continued for missing pilot Captain Patterson Smith.
Smith was piloting a PA-32 aircraft from Exuma to New Providence on Sunday afternoon when he lost contact with air traffic control, triggering a search and rescue operation.
Cooper said he had reached out to Smith’s family and described the pilot as a valued member of the Exuma community who also served on the local government council.
The search continued this morning as family, friends and the wider community awaited answers.
