2025 Tobago October Carnival Set To Draw Crowds
7 hours ago
Tobago is gearing up for an influx of visitors at the 2025 October Carnival.
Speaking at a press briefing after the festival’s official unveiling earlier this week, THA Secretary of Tourism Tashia Burris noted a growing national and international demand for the event.
« That is attributed to the fact that a number of persons already booked way in advance of seats becoming available to the destination, and then this week seats dropped on the sea bridge via Port Authority and they have more or less reported that they are basically sold out for that weekend. So a number of accommodations are reported at 100% occupancy. »
Chairman of the Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Tobago Division, Curtis Williams, said hoteliers have been reporting an increase in bookings.
« It’s going to be a real bumper Carnival because, from the information I got up to yesterday, I was interviewed by a couple of the villa owners, and they told me they are 100% full, and there is no room for villas. So you have to look for other, bigger properties and see if you can get some space there. But so far, the Carnival is extremely, extremely well patronised. »
Officials shared that they are looking forward to another successful Tobago October Carnival, scheduled to take place from October 24th to 26th.
