Yesterday was World Sight Day, and here in St. Lucia, the focus was on a critical mission: fighting preventable blindness. The St. Lucia Blind Welfare Association is sounding the alarm, urging citizens to get their eyes checked. They say conditions like diabetes are a major driver of vision loss, but with early detection, much of it can be stopped.
