Prime Minister Hon. Philip J. Pierre has addressed mounting speculation that a prominent former Saint Lucia Labour Party (SLP) figure, recently cleared of legal controversy, is poised to contest the Castries Central constituency as an independent candidate, particularly as the ruling SLP is not fielding a representative there.(October 13th 2025)
