CULTURAL DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION GEARS UP FOR ANNUAL LA MARGUERITE FESTIVAL
The Cultural Development Foundation is gearing up for its annual La Marguerite celebrations on October 17th, in the midst of Creole Heritage Month. This year, CDF ensured that training was provided to schools and community groups, who are set to put on a grand display following the Gwan Fete on Friday. The organization is aiming to engage more youth in cultural showcases such as the flower festivals and to have them registered under the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List, as the tradition is endemic to St. Lucia.
