Julien Alfred’s track spikes were auctioned for US$75,000, sparking controversy after an opposition member questioned a high bid allegedly linked to someone close to the SLP government.
While some believed the historic item should have stayed in Saint Lucia, it was ultimately purchased by American coach and businessman Kevin Graves.
