Suspect Detained, Pirogue Seized As Tobago Police Investigate Casino Robbery
Tobago Police are investigating an armed robbery at a casino in Crown Point and have detained one man and seized a pirogue.
Reports indicate that around 8:15am on Monday, two armed and masked men entered the Royalton Casino and announced a robbery.
An undisclosed sum of money was handed over. There was an exchange of gunfire between security and the assailants, who escaped via a pirogue.
Investigators later discovered and retrieved the pirogue reportedly used in the incident and detained a suspect. Investigations are ongoing.
