Cemex Partners With Red Cross To Support Jamaica’s Recovery
As Jamaica continues to recover from the devastating effects of Hurricane Melissa, local cement manufacturer Trinidad Cement Limited (TCL) and parent company, Cemex, have teamed up with the Trinidad and Tobago Red Cross Society to expand their recent ‘Together for Jamaica’ campaign.
Cemex coordinated an organisation-wide fundraising effort involving employees, distributors, suppliers, and other business partners, and matched contributions received.
Managing Director at the TCL Group, Francisco Aguilera, stated that the initiative represents a dedication to standing with our neighbours in their most difficult moments.
TCL employees not only donated essential supplies but also offered personal contributions.
Cemex and TCL’s ‘Together for Jamaica’ initiative is part of the company’s broader social impact and responsibility priority, which emphasises community resilience and humanitarian partnerships.
