AG: “Administration Not Exclusively Vested in GBPA”
Attorney General Ryan Pinder has called the Grand Bahama Port Authority statement “misleading and misguiding,” asserting it does not reflect the true intent of the arbitration award.
He described the ruling as a monumental win for the Government of The Bahamas, stating the Tribunal affirmed the Government’s binding authority in the regulation and governance of Freeport, a move he says gives the people of Grand Bahama greater say and clears the path for future growth.
