The Saint Lucia Labour Party’s (SLP) decisive win in the December 1st polls has prompted a closer look at the unprecedented margins that secured the administration’s new term.
Data shows a significant shift in voter support toward the incumbent party across several key constituencies.
In Gros Islet, Kenson Casimir nearly tripled his previous winning margin, while newcomer John Paul Estephane secured one of the largest victories in the history of the Babonneau constituency.
Analysts, including boundaries commission member Urban Dolar, suggest that demographic shifts and migration patterns may have contributed to the historic surge in the SLP’s popular vote.
