BABONNEAU MP DR. POYOTTE STANDS BY SLP NOMINATION PROCESS AND SUCCESSION DECISION
The incumbent Member of Parliament for Babonneau, Dr. Virginia Albert Poyotte, has affirmed her support for the party’s decision regarding the upcoming general election’s nomination race. Last week, reports surfaced that educator John Estephane was chosen to succeed the trade unionist on the Saint Lucia Labour Party (SLP) ticket. Estephane will face the opposition united workers party (uwp) hopeful, Titus Preville, a former government bureaucrat and technocrat. Speaking to reporters on Monday, the public service minister, who awaits formal notification from her party, indicated that she will adhere to the process.
