Dr. Faith Brebnor has launched a scathing attack on the opposition regarding the construction of the Castara Fishing Facility, labeling the structure as « wickedness » and a « monstrosity ». Speaking at a Tobago People’s Party (TPP) meeting, Brebnor challenged the prevailing narrative used by political opponents regarding the hiring of Trinidadian contractors.

Brebnor directed the crowd’s attention to the fishing facility, describing it as an « ugly thing » that she encountered on the beach. She questioned the origins of the contractor responsible for the project, pointedly asking supporters to identify « where in Tobago he is from ». She identified the builder as a man « whose first name begins with F and last name is Cummings, » urging voters to scrutinize this connection when the TPP faces accusations about awarding contracts to Trinidadians.

The TPP representative advised supporters to use the Castara facility as a direct counter-argument during the campaign. She insisted that whenever opponents raise the issue of Trinidadian contractors, the electorate should point to the building and remind them of « him and that » structure as evidence of the previous administration’s own practices and the quality of work delivered.
