DOLLAR BILLS [17TH MARCH 2026] – Concerns over price gouging continue to be raised by consumers, even as the Consumer Affairs Department clarifies the limits of its authority. While the department regulates the pricing of certain controlled goods under the Price Control Order, officials say many items fall outside its scope. However, the director says work is underway on a competition policy expected by year’s end, aimed at promoting fair pricing and expanding consumer choice across the island.
