Caribbean Airlines To Accommodate Standby Passengers Amid Ferry Cancellations
3 hours ago
Cancelled sailings of the inter-island ferry have prompted an increase in demand of passengers accessing the air-bridge and national carrier Caribbean Airlines has announced that though all scheduled flights are full, stand-by passengers will be accommodated subject to availability and operational constraints.
In a social media post, Caribbean Airlines noted that flights on the domestic airbridge for today, December 30th are operating at full capacity, and passengers with confirmed tickets will be prioritised on their scheduled services.
The airline noted that operational teams are assessing feasible options. Stand-by passengers will be accepted where space becomes available.
On Monday the Trinidad and Tobago Inter island Transportation Company Limited advised customers that the T&T Spirit was temporarily withdrawn from service due to mechanical issues, as a result all sailings of the vessel have been cancelled.
Adjusted sailing times have been scheduled for the Buccoo Reef and Galleons Passage.
The APT James is completing its statutory dry-docking exercise.
