CARICOM Moves Toward Digital Transformation With New AI Workshop
CARICOM is preparing to harness AI tools to boost efficiency and improve service delivery, thanks to a new executive workshop in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
The workshop brought together CARICOM leaders with UNDP specialists to explore practical applications of AI within the organisation.
Deputy Secretary-General Dr. Armstrong Alexis highlighted the value of the partnership, noting that UNDP’s expertise will be key to integrating AI effectively. UNDP Resident Representative Katy Thompson praised the Secretariat for taking a proactive approach to digital transformation.
A self-paced AI course for staff is being finalised, with a launch expected in the coming weeks and completion targeted for the end of December.
