MISS LOU … Wi love Yuh fi True!
September 7, 2025, marks the 106th birthday of Jamaican cultural icon Louise Bennett-Coverley, more popularly known as Miss Lou. She was a tireless warrior, fighting for acceptance and respect for the Jamaican language and Jamaican folk traditions, and her landmark programme, Ring Ding, was the starting point for many established performers.

What do you remember about Miss Lou, and if she could hear you now, what would you say to her?
